We realize that you have many choices when it

comes to fitness. The one choice you don`t have is

to ignore it!

Do you have experienced working out? Are you looking for a new gym? Are you just getting back to the gym? If so, this is the place for you. Bayshore is enormous, bigger than a football field! Our 50,000 square feet of space allows us to outfit our facility like a great gym should be equipped.

Bayshore`s two cardio areas feature 85 machines - Treadmills, Elliptical Trainers, Total Body Elliptical Trainers, Stationary Bikes (Recumbent and Upright), Concept II Rowers, Stairclimbers, Upper Body Ergometer. (LIST)

An alternative to cardio is our Group Fitness Program. We have two studios and a dedicated cycle room. The program offers 35 weekly classes including: Yoga, Pilates, and a full range of Aerobic Classes.

Another cardio option is basketball. Have a pickup game, shoot hoops or get a team together to join our basketball league.

We have a boxing room with heavy, kick, and speed bags. Hitting the bags will get that heart rate up providing another type of cardio workout. Instruction is available in both boxing and martial arts.

We have designed open space into our floor plan, including a matted open area complete with stability balls, weighted balls and plyometric boxes. This is another way to work the muscles and do cardio at the same time. The matted area is a great place for sports specific training and cross-training.

If you`ve been around for a while, you will undoubtedly be interested in our weight training equipment. Our free weight area is bigger than the total square footage of some gyms. There are 220 feet of dumbbells up to 160 lbs, with 53 utility benches and 24 Olympic benches. This quantity of dumbbells and benches allows for supersets and giant sets to be performed with ease and with no interruption. There is nothing worse than waiting for equipment in the middle of your training. That doesn`t happen here. There are Smith machines and cables in the free weight area to support your advanced workout. Additional Smith machines and cables are located throughout the gym.

If legs are your concern, we have 47 pieces of leg equipment, including 9 squat racks and 12 leg presses to make it easy to get a great workout. As a matter of fact, walking from the front desk to the boxing area or the cycling room is a great leg workout!

The facility and equipment are important to your workout, but the atmosphere and environment is also crucial. In a great gym, the people around you make it comfortable and can inspire and motivate you. This is Bayshore. There is an energy here. It won`t be long before you make new friends.

We are happy to provide passes for you and your friends to use the gym. Come in and see if Bayshore works for you.

If you are a member at another gym, anywhere, it is our policy to offer you a FREE ONE MONTH MEMBERSHIP with absolutely no obligation. You can use it simply for a change of scenery, as an alternative gym for convenience, or to bridge some time. It`s a chance for you to try us out with zero pressure. We have no sales people. Even if you`re from out of town, we`re glad to have you as a guest.

If you are committed somewhere locally and want to stay at Bayshore, we`re glad to talk.

Bayshore is open from 5AM until 10PM on weekdays, 7 to 7 on Saturday and 8 to 6 on Sunday. We are located right off the highway and away from the most congested parts of Braintree. There is plenty of free parking.

If you use the `T` to get to work, Bayshore is perfect for you. We are a one minute drive from the Braintree `T` Station. Workout before or after your commute.

If you drive from Boston just get off the highway, drive two minutes and spend an hour here doing something good for yourself. Route 3 is a mess at rush hour. Workout, shower, relax, grab a meal replacement shake and then head home. THE TRAFFIC WILL BE GONE. Just think, in the time you would have wasted sitting in traffic - your workout will be done.

When looking for a club that fits your needs there are some things you should consider:

Consider if the facility fits your needs and your schedule. Some clubs oversell and overcrowd having neither the space nor the equipment to support their membership. You should select a facility where you can actually workout when you want or when your own schedule dictates. Ask the questions:

         Do they oversell?

         Do they overcrowd?

         Does it fit your commute?

         Is there ample parking?

Do the hours fit your schedule?

Consider the variety of services offered and ask the questions:

         Do they fit your needs?

Do they offer Group Fitness Classes?

Do they have Pilates, Yoga, Cycle, Aerobics, Boxing?

         Do they offer Free Training?

Do they offer a written exercise program?

         Do they offer Babysitting?

Do they offer a Juice Bar and Nutritional guidance?

Consider the equipment and ask the questions:

         Is there enough variety?

         Is there enough equipment?

         Is the equipment well maintained?

Is it state of the art?

         Is the equipment properly spaced?

Do you have to wait for equipment?

Do they provide guidance in the proper use of the equipment?

Consider the environment and ask the questions:

         Is it unintimidating and non-judgmental?

         Is it warm and friendly?

Does the staff and membership fit your personality?

         Is it a diverse membership?

         Do they conduct special events?

Is the staff and management accommodating?

Consider the facility and ask the questions:

         What is the square footage?

         Is it a convenient location?

         Is it well-equipped?

Is it clean and well maintained?

         Is there enough locker space?

Is the floor plan well designed?

         Is there enough elbow room?

Do they have an onsite manager to resolve issues?

Consider the Pricing and ask the questions:

         Do they charge additional fees?

So, when looking for a gym, look for real value for your dollar. A Bayshore Athletic Club membership offers you that value with enormous space, tons of equipment, no over-crowding, a dozen free services, a friendly atmosphere and a commitment to the success of our members.
