Wow! What a great time! Our 6th Annual Road Race to
benefit the Room To Dream Foundation was fantastic. The weather was
spectacular; the times were fast; the food was delicious; and the music was
jammin! There are so many people to thank for the day being the success that
it was. It starts with all of you that turned out to share the day with us.
Gary Burke and the BHS soccer team came down and helped in
everyway they could - many thanks to Gary and the boys. What a great bunch of
kids - smart, friendly and helpful. People actually made a point to stop me
and make sure I knew what a great job they were doing.
Rob Reilly and the folks from `Need To Lead` helped with set
up and manned the route and water stations. Their boisterous cheering certainly
was a factor in the great times that were posted!
The folks from `Dunkin Donuts` helped start the day right
with hot coffee and bagels. The morning was a wee bit chilly but that DD
coffee always makes it right. Thanks Sue.
Rick from `Simply Good Catering` in Quincy came through huge
with delicious burgers, dogs, sausages with peppers and onions and a potato salad
that was out of this world. Thanks Rick!
Pat from `South Shore Entertainment` supplied the tunes and
reached deep into the Professor Peabody way back machine and spun some MJ and
Prince but seamlessly kept the music hip and current. You were the music man -
keeping everyone moving! You made me wear out my shoes.
Joe Hall from `South Shore Moonwalks` provided the moonwalk
that was a joy for both kids and adults. Joe came down after working a 12 hour
overnight shift to setup and breakdown the moonwalk and did all this on his own
dime. If you are having a party for the kids, Joe has it all. 1.888.363.JUMP
is the number to call and he`ll take care of it all.
Johnna and the Zumba girls charged the air with electricity!
You can catch Johnna`s classes right here at Bayshore - Tuesday nights and
Sundays. Check it out because it appeals to EVERYONE!
